Under his leadership, Cafrino has achieved sustained year-over-year growth, culminating in record-setting performance in 2025, including 64% year-over-year growth in Q4. The company’s online poker technology has served over 2 million players and has awarded more than $10 million in cash and prizes—demonstrating both scale and long-term player liquidity.

Murphy has strategically repositioned Cafrino beyond a single-product company into a scalable infrastructure provider, launching a full suite of B2B offerings including Poker APIs, white-label casino platforms, and custom integrations. These solutions enable partners to rapidly deploy poker and sweepstakes products with minimal operational risk, leveraging Cafrino’s proven technology, player pooling, and monetization engine.

His career spans senior leadership roles across product, marketing, and creative at leading entertainment and gaming companies, including NYX Gaming, Sony Online, Sony Pictures, LucasArts, and Fox Interactive. He has contributed to the development and growth of major Triple-A franchises such as EverQuest, DC Universe Online, PlanetSide, and Star Wars Galaxies, as well as mainstream digital entertainment products including American Idol, Jeopardy Online, and Wheel of Fortune Online. This breadth of experience enables Murphy to consistently drive top-line growth while improving operational efficiency—optimizing key levers from user acquisition through lifetime value maximization.
